Billing

Billing Terms

These billing terms explain how Capsule Insights plans, renewals, cancellations, and refund placeholders work during alpha and beta. This language should be reviewed before public launch.

This page is a beta-launch placeholder and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before production use.

Subscriptions and Renewal

Paid Capsule Insights subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Your billing period is monthly or annual depending on the plan and billing cadence selected at checkout.

Unless you cancel before the next renewal date, the payment method on file may be charged for the next billing period.

Plans, Limits, and Features

Free, Premium, Pro, and any future plans may include different summary limits, history limits, AI features, storage, exports, processing priority, or intelligence features.

Plan limits may apply and may change as Capsule Insights develops. Any material changes to paid plans should be communicated with reasonable notice before they affect active subscribers.

Cancellation

Users should be able to cancel paid subscriptions from account or billing settings when billing is enabled.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated in a reviewed policy, cancellation does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.

Refund Policy Placeholder

Refund language is a placeholder and must be finalised before accepting real payments. Capsule should not promise refunds until eligibility, timing, exceptions, and support workflows have been reviewed.

If refunds are offered, the final policy should explain how users request one, when refunds may be available, and whether partial billing periods are eligible.

Price Changes and Taxes

Prices may change with notice. If a paid subscription price changes, Capsule should provide notice before the new price applies to future renewals, where required by law or payment provider rules.

Taxes, VAT, or other charges may apply depending on your jurisdiction, plan, billing address, and the payment provider's calculation.

Payment Provider

Stripe or another payment provider may process checkout, invoices, payment methods, subscription status, billing portal access, taxes, and related billing events.

Do not include real payment terms, refund promises, or jurisdiction-specific billing language in production until the final billing setup and legal review are complete.
