Privacy Rights
This page summarises basic UK GDPR-ready privacy rights for Capsule Insights users. It is an alpha documentation layer and should be legally reviewed before public launch.

Requests should be verified before any account, export, correction, or deletion action is completed.
Right to Be Informed
Users should receive clear information about what data Capsule collects, why it is used, how long it is retained, which providers may process it, and how to exercise privacy rights.
Right of Access
Users can request access to personal data Capsule holds about them, including account data and saved product data where applicable.
The current Settings controls are request placeholders until a verified backend workflow is implemented.
Right to Rectification
Users can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data. Some profile and preference data can be edited directly in Settings.
A production process should define how support verifies and applies correction requests across account, billing, database, email, analytics, and provider systems.
Right to Erasure
Users can request deletion of account data and saved content where applicable. Some data may need to be retained for security, legal, tax, billing, dispute, or backup reasons.
The alpha Settings control does not delete production backend records. It only creates a clear request placeholder, while local/demo data can be cleared from the browser.
Right to Restriction
Users may ask Capsule to restrict processing of certain personal data in some circumstances, such as while accuracy or lawful basis is being reviewed.
A production workflow should define how restricted processing is recorded and enforced.
Right to Portability
Users can request an export of personal data they provided to Capsule, where applicable and technically feasible.
Production export should define format, verification, timing, security checks, and any limits required to protect other people or confidential content.
Right to Object
Users may object to certain processing activities, including some analytics, marketing, or processing based on legitimate interests.
Capsule should define opt-out and objection handling before enabling production analytics, marketing, or advanced profiling workflows.
Right to Complain
Users may have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. For UK users, that authority is generally the Information Commissioner's Office.
Capsule should add final regulator contact details and jurisdiction-specific wording before public launch.
